After a short break, the Night of the Imagination is making its return. On the night of 2 October 2025, Gent Festival will breathe new life into Ghent’s museum quarter. MSK, S.M.A.K., and GUM will open their doors for an eclectic nocturnal programme curated by guest curator Aïda Gabriëls.

Ictus infiltrates the exhibition Private Passion—Public Duty with four micro-performances that light up between the artworks like glitches in the museum's logic. From a trio with paper pieces (Patterson) to whispering voices between mirror panels (Robert Ashley) to fragments of melancholic pop gliding through the rooms like smoke. No concert. No route. No silence between the pieces. What we do is make the exhibition stutter: slivers of music, murmurs, a vibration in your spine. You think you are looking at art, and then you hear it whispering.
