Imagine a concert without musical instruments,
but in which everything is music.

And in which even the audience plays along.

A concert for the young and the young at heart: families and children from 7 years old.
Mechanics, ex-offenders and woodworkers, however, are particularly welcome.

Here’s why:

Six young musicians, mostly students from our study programmes who have made brilliant debuts on the music scene, have selected four extraordinary musical scores from their archives. In each one, the musicians’ bodies become musical instruments.
The boundaries between music, theatre and choreography are blurred.

In Homework II, In the Garage by François Sarhan, everyone rummages through the contents of a toolbox, and yet repair is impossible.
I Funerali dell’Anarchico by Francesco Filidei takes place in a courtroom, where six judges mull over a difficult case; the audience will have the final say.

In Aphasia, as if possessed by cartoon characters, performers go into ‘Tex Avery mode’.
Finally, problems are resolved around a table with the legendary Musique de Tables by Thierry De Mey. Having toured the world over for 40 years, this virtuoso ‘play of hands’ never gets old.

In the past, we might have had fun with Tom Pauwels’ oversized animations. This time, it’s the turn of the audience to follow the animated musical ‘score’, and to clap, whistle, breathe, shout, look to the left, look to the right, tap their feet, ….

You’ll need a good night’s rest when you get home… and so will we.
But it will have been music well spent!
