The Austrian Bernhard Lang creates endless variations on the melody of the The Cold Genius, one of the most famous arias in Henry Purcell’s opera King Arthur.
Theresa Dlouhy, whose voice last year enchanted the Wedensday audiences in “Darker than black”, is behind the mic.

Lang takes a new approach to arrangement, using methods that previous generations never thought of in his score: the loop, the scratch on the record, the virus… as if there is nothing to it.
